EEG2020: Join the Movement!

Alliance Family of Companies is spearheading the EEG2020 movement, an effort to protect patient access to in-home epilepsy care.

In July 2019, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) released its proposed Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, which included significant changes to long-term video EEG (vEEG) monitoring reimbursement that will impact patients’ access to care, diagnostic time, and cost.

Unless the payment cuts are reversed, effective January 1, 2020, Medicare patients who receive in-home long-term video EEG monitoring, many of whom live in medically underserved and rural communities, will be forced into the hospital for their EEG. This change will increase cost to the taxpayer significantly and will delay diagnosis.
